Great poetry evening last night at Lubi's! Topic - American poets. My favourite American poets are probably Emily Dickinson and Sylvia Plath - although both can be a bit depressing. We covered a wide range - including Ogden Nash, Robert Frost, Elizabeth Bishop, Dorothy Parker, Walt Whitman, that weird rant by Carl somebody or other entitled 'Howl', Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou and T S Eliot to name but a few - and also had a look at some of Bob Dylan's weird song lyrics!
Next meeting is at my house - topic - 'Journeys'.
